Workshop organized by the U.S. National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA) and the Polish Military Institute of Aviation Medicine (WIML) takes place on 16 and 17 September in Warsaw. The meeting is devoted to the space flight safety.
The conference is attended by experts from the United States, Russia and Poland, who will discuss the psychophysical aspects of flight safety in aerospace operations.
Subjects of planned discussions include neurophysiological and psychological determinants of human performance, and impact of adverse environments and high workload on human behaviour. Experts have also discussed methods of selection of astronauts for short and long term space missions.
The workshop is organised under the auspices of the Polish Academy of Sciences (PAN), the National Centre for Research and Development (NCBiR), the National Security Bureau of Poland (BBN), the Ministry of Science and Higher Education (MNiSW) and the Polish Air Force Command.
