‘One to watch’ designer makes fashion debut in London Fashion Week
Middlesex University graduate Luke Archer has showcased his luxury fashion label’s debut collection during London Fashion Week.
Luke launched his Spring/Summer 2014 collection titled ‘De l'océan’ which offered a mixture of ready to wear and high fashion pieces. It included printed blouses, sequinned skirts and an ultra-violet reactive dress.
Luke took inspiration for the collection from the colours and textures of the ocean, including from squid skin. His label prides itself in offering modern, feminine and luxurious ready to wear and couture clothes, as well as chic accessories.
The talented designer earlier this year was crowned the Alfa Romeo Young Designer of the Year 2013, with his former Middlesex classmate George Jenkins. Their innovative Alfa Romeo themed five-piece collection featured dresses with hats and clutch bags made from materials including neoprene, metal and even LED lighting.
Luke Archer said: “We were extremely excited to be showing at London Fashion Week this season, and extremely pleased with how well the collection has been received by those who attended this evening. We were particularly pleased with how well attendees reacted to the inclusion of colour change and light emitting materials within our new collection”.
Luke Archer’s debut collection was supported by Middlesex University London.
