Poland - twenty two million yet use Internet
Twenty two million Poles use the Internet, with seven people in ten doing it regularly, Men shop online more often than women, shows an e-commerce market survey.
Fifty six percent of the surveyed men and 44 percent of women declare that they do shopping via the Internet.
The most frequently-purchased online goods are mp3 music (22 percent),
e-books (19 percent) as well as holiday trips and plane tickets (17
percent). The goods that are bought online and in traditional shops are
clothes and footwear (60 percent), cell phones and accessories (59
percent) and computers (56 percent).
Online shopping is growing very popular among the surveyed Poles
because it offers home delivery (79 percent), is a time saving practice
(76 percent), and offers a wide range of products (75 percent) as well
as attractive prices (72 percent).
According to empik.com, there are 12,000 online shops in Poland, up 12.0 percent from 2011.
The survey for empik.com was conducted by Nielsen on a group of 1,328 Poles.
