Dangers Of Diet Pills
Some students turn to diet pills for many reasons, if you are choosing diet pills, as a way to start off your diet it may not be a good idea. There is a reason why diet pills have warning labels, most diets pills are approved by the Federal Food and Drug Administration.
Diet pills are a good way to stop eating but they have some side
effects. If you don’t follow the directions of these pills you could end
up with some problems such as heart palpitations, abdominal pain,
dizziness and fainting.
Diet pills can work but they are often abused and can result in
these side effects and in some cases death. The idea of diet pills is
that they are supposed to stimulate your metabolism so you don’t gain
weight but often younger people take over the recommended dosage or they
drink them with caffinated products, which could worsen the heart
palpitations and dizziness.
You should not be taking these diet pills right before you start
exercising. They could cause dizziness among other things. Diet pills
normally have a recommended dosage of one or two pills at breakfast, two
before lunch and two before dinner. You don’t have to take the
recommended dosage you could take less to start to see if your body can
handle it. You could also drink water with it as recommended. But then
you should also eat as recommended.
Most often people who take these diets pills take them in lieu of
eating and this is not how you are supposed to take the pills. The idea
is not to eat whatever you want but to start to eat healthy. You
shouldn’t be taking these pills and then going to Burger King and eating
a Whopper. You should be very careful about the brand of pills before
taking them. Try to stick with the natural pills like Dexatrim and
follow the directions to the T.
Talk to your doctor about the pills that you want to take, they will
try to dissuade you from taking them. They may offer you an alternative
way to go on a diet but if you explain why you want to take them, they
may be able to direct you with taking them safely. Diet pills can be
addicting so it is very important to read the directions and follow
them.
You should try to find an alternate way to diet, try cutting back on
calories, if you normally eat 2,000 calories then you should cut back
by 200 for the first week and see how much weight you could lose. Then
as you become more successful, stick with it until you come to a plateau
and then take off another 200 calories. You should never fall below
1200 calories. Keep a log of the food that you are eating and if aren’t
losing weight then review your logbook and adjust the amount of food
that you have on your list. Some diet pills do work like Alli but it is
best to try to do it on your own.
