U2 in Berlin

U2 continue taking their innovatively-designed 360° tour, on the back of latest album, No Line On the Horizon, around the globe. 15 Sep 2010 at Munich's Olympiastadion.

One of the world's biggest and best-loved rock 'n' roll bands, U2's sound is characterised by The Edge's distinctive guitar riffs and Bono's impassioned vocals. As the group's stature has grown, they have used their position to try new approaches to music and performance, while also attempting to guage pop music's power to influence world politics.

The band's frequent reinventions have seen them produce techno-influenced dance music, but the 2004 release, How To Dismantle An Atomic Bomb, found them remembering their straight-ahead, rock roots and was hailed as a return to form. The group's latest release finds them tweaking their successful sonic blueprint with the help of co-producers Daniel Lanois and Brian Eno.
