MDX BA International Business and Spanish student, Natasha Thomas-Campbell was amongst one of the 10 creative finalists of 327 candidates in a marketing challenge task for Mcdonald’s.
Through a website called “Mykindacrowd”, which presents business and practical challenges to young people who can display their creative skills to major employers, Natasha entered the “Get Experienced” McDonald’s challenge along with 327 candidates. The challenge focused on customer service within McDonalds restaurants and how this could improve customers dining experience.
Natasha said: “Getting so far in this challenge has encouraged me to grab every opportunity that comes my way as you never know where it will lead you. It has motivated me to work even harder to gain a good university degree, as this is an investment that will complement my progression as I take on more opportunities.”
Natasha’s innovative idea of “refillable cups” saw her rank amongst the top 10 and she was given the opportunity to visit Macdonald’s headquarters in London on the 19 of March and pitch her idea to senior management of the company.
“I was overwhelmed making it to the top 10 and being welcomed to visit their head office in North London. It was intriguing seeing the technical machinery McDonald’s have in their kitchens along with making my own meal! Meeting the directors was a once in a life time opportunity that I will always remember”, added Natasha.
