There are no official university programmes outside the Bachelor's and Master's structure in Spain. However, the degrees belonging to the former systems of university education will be in operation until 2014.

However, universities, in accordance to their function as basic institutions for Lifelong Learning and exerting their autonomy, may articulate their teaching provision through different non-official university programmes which are issued as own degrees.
